Solo Leveling Season 2 Ep 2 begins with Jinwoo summoning the shadows of the Ice Bears by commanding, “Arise,” as he stands among their corpses. Meanwhile, Baek, Dongsoo, Woo, Ahn, and Hyun discuss the situation at the Red Gate. Ahn mentions that it has been three days since Jinwoo and the others entered.
Dongsoo assumes Jinwoo is dead and questions the group about Jinwoo’s motives. Ahn explains that Jinwoo joined the expedition to take on a C-rank mission. When Dongsoo tries to threaten Ahn, Baek intervenes, leading to a fight between them.
Meanwhile, Chul discovers the Ice Bears’ corpses and assumes the White Demon is responsible. At the same time, Woo steps in to stop Dongsoo and Baek’s fight, revealing who killed Dongsuk. However, Dongsoo insists Jinho is to blame for his brother’s death. After receiving a text, Dongsoo leaves.
Elsewhere, Chul notices Heejin, Song-Yi, and another man chatting in a shelter. He confronts them, blaming his team’s death on someone who stole their gear. Jinwoo arrives and knocks out Chul. Sensing an enemy nearby, Jinwoo demands they reveal themselves. The enemies turn out to be Ice Demons, and thanks to the Player Log System, Jinwoo realizes he can understand their language.
Jinwoo speaks with the Ice Demons’ leader, Baruka. During the exchange, Jinwoo kills one of Baruka’s comrades and injures his horse. Baruka reveals that a mysterious voice commands him and his group to harm humans—but it forbids them from harming Jinwoo. Jinwoo wonders if this voice functions like his Player Log’s command system.
Baruka demands that Jinwoo hand over his allies, promising to spare his life. When Baruka briefly glitches, Jinwoo grows suspicious. Refusing to surrender his team, Jinwoo summons his shadow army, and a fierce battle begins between his forces and Baruka’s brigade.
Baruka charges at Jinwoo, with Chul rushing in as well. When smoke covers Jinwoo, he commands Igris to kill Chul. After Chul dies, Jinwoo uses his powers to extract Chul’s shadow, transforming him into a powerful shadow knight named Iron.
Jinwoo, Igris, and Iron team up to battle Baruka. Once Jinwoo’s shadow army defeats Baruka’s forces, they help him finish off Baruka. After the fight, a new gate appears, and Jinwoo informs Heejin and the others that it’s time to leave. Before departing, Jinwoo tries to extract Baruka’s shadow.
Jinwoo and his group return to the city, where Baek stops him to ask about what happened at the gate. Jinwoo, feeling exhausted, suggests Baek ask the guild instead, as he just wants to go home. Despite understanding Baek’s concerns, Jinwoo tells him to thank him for saving two White Tiger Guild members.
Baek apologizes, and Jinwoo takes Song-Yi home. Baek then instructs Ahn to bring Jinwoo to their guild. After dropping Song-Yi off, Jinwoo reflects that he couldn’t extract Baruka’s shadow.
Jinwoo suspects he couldn’t extract Baruka’s shadow due to the significant difference in their strength. The next morning, Jinho picks up Jinwoo and Song-Yi, feeling puzzled by their close bond. Solo Leveling Season 2 Ep 2 ends with the trio heading to their next destination.
