The third season of “Kimi Ni Todoke: From Me to You” will be released worldwide on Netflix after 13 long years. Kimi Ni Todoke is one of the best shoujo mangas written and illustrated by Karuho Shiina. The first season of Kimi Ni Todoke’s anime adaptation was aired in 2009, and the second season was aired in 2011. A live-action film adaption was aired in 2010 and it is available to stream on Netflix.
The official website of Kimi Ni Todoke revealed the new key visuals, and promotional videos and announced that the third season will premiere on August 1 worldwide. This coming-of-age and romantic comedy anime series is directed by Kenichi Matsuzawa and animated by Production I.G.
The anime follows the story of Kuronuma Sawako who is often mistaken for her ghost-like resemblance by her classmates. Her life starts to change when she meets and befriends Kazehaya, a friendly and popular guy in the school.
Third-season cast and voice actors
Mamiko Noto as Sawako Kuronuma and Daisuke Namikawa as Shōta Kazehaya are the lead voice actors of the main characters. This season, we can expect a few new characters alongside our favorite characters. The new cast members for the third season are:

Many fans are waiting to have their favorite characters back in a few weeks. They are excited for more Ryu and Chizuru moments. Netflix Anime released a statement saying, “Finally an official couple, new experiences await Sawako and Kazehaya while their friends’ intertwining love stories begin to unfold.” As a response, one fan commented, “So excited for Sawako and Kazehaya’s journey! I can’t wait to see their friends’ love stories unfold too.”

What is Kimi Ni Todoke about?
Known for her semblance to the Sadako character of The Ring series, Sawako Kuronuma is named “Sadako” and misunderstood to be frightening and malicious like her fictional counterpart, despite having a timid and sweet nature. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, Sawako is naturally drawn to the cheerful and friendly Shouta Kazehaya, the most popular boy in her class. From their first meeting, Sawako has admired Kazehaya’s ability to be the center of attention and aspires to be like him.
When Kazehaya organizes a test of courage for the entire class and encourages her to attend, Sawako sees this as an opportunity to get along with her classmates, starting with Ayane Yano and Chizuru Yoshida. Through each new encounter and emotion she experiences, Sawako believes that meeting Kazehaya has changed her for the better. Little does Sawako know, her presence has also changed Kazehaya.
